The FE-1200 is a Fully-managed, high-performance (100/100) Fast Ethernet
switching hub designed to boost network bandwidth and improve client/server
network performance. The FE-1200 is ideal for segmenting high-speed Local
Area Networks or interconnecting multiple high-speed LAN segments into a
collapsed backbone architecture. Places an NPI ASIC on each of its 12
100Base-T ports to provide non-blocking architecture and wire-speed
performance across all ports. The 2Gbps backplane allows for reception and
transmission on all ports, simultaneously. With NPI's parallel
store-and-forward architecture, internal processing latency is minimized,
while full error-checking is maintained. Four of the twelve ports are
"power-linked" to provide up to 800Mbps of bandwidth for full-duplex
connection to your server farm. Each port features a wire-speed learning
function, filtering and forwarding rate of 148,800 packets per second (x2
with full-duplex), and a 4,096 MAC address learning table. The FE-600 shares
the characteristics of the FE-1200 except for having 6 100Base-T ports and no
power-link capability. The FE-200 group acts as an extension point for
100Base-T networks allowing connection of 100Base-T network hubs as far apart
as 200 meters. The FE200T has 2 100Base-TX ports, and the FE-200TF provides 1
100Base-TX and 1 100Base-FX port. A pair of FE-200MF microswitches can
connect hubs located up to 2 kilometers apart.

Optimized for data warehousing and other applications that require high
throughput, with the versatility to be configured for relatively small
departmental servers or to fulfill larger multi-terabyte storage
requirements. Can be configured with various levels of RAID to assure data
will not be lost even if a drive fails. The flexibility to choose RAID levels
0, 1, or 5 allows customers the protection level that best fits their
availability, performance, and price requirements. The use of 25
megabyte-per-second fiber channels enhances speed and improves connectivity.
For protection against a disaster in a single building, Fibre 2000 arrays can
be connected to a server located in an alternate building up to two
kilometers away. To increase the performance of the entire system, the Fibre
2000 intelligent controller, with its non-volatile cache, off-loads much of
the I/O processing burden from the server CPU. The Fibre 2000 Storage Array
