Description:
Increased RAID 4 storage configurations for the Sun MediaCenter 5
enterprise / intranet video server. Available in both SunATM and
SunFastEthernet versions, the Sun MediaCenter 5 features 25.2 Gb of
RAID 4 media file storage, a threefold increase over the previous 8.4
Gb model. Using the Sun MediaCenter software-based implementation of
RAID 4, the new configuration offers a net video data storage capacity
of 21.0 Gb. The balance of the storage capacity is used to implement
a 5:1 parity strategy for video data protection, allowing automatic
MPEG video stream reconstruction without service interruptions.

SPARCcenter 2000(E) after a warm reboot (this was not true with the

uncorrectable error rate; and the new PROM reports the correct PROM

Java-based software allows small to medium range businesses to accept
credit card orders via the Internet securely. Opens the market to
customers previously unable to connect through a secure socket layer.
SafeOrder lets them also order by mail with the send via mail option.
The software consists of a client part (a Java applet) and a Java
encryption application. The client part is fully customizable via

Latest version of the Solstice FireWall-1 family. Includes DES
encryption, remote log-in for PCs (through the free SecuRemote
product), and an NT-base inspection module. VPN is now available as a
separate module, and the Medium Security Center, along with its
associated products, has been discontinued. DES encryption provides
increased security using a 56-bit key. An NT-based inspection module
accommodates NT servers in the enterprise for additional inspection /
authentication modules. SecuRemote allows remote Windows PC-based
users to log into the secure net.
