loadable module that provides a Solaris compatible file system in the same
manner as UFS, NFS, PCFS and other file systems. Protects the structure of
the file system to allow concurrent use of the same partition. Concurrent
use of the same files is not be protected by sharefs, and must therefore be managed by a higher-level locking protocol. File locks are provided for the use of such a protocol. The file system is compatible with UFS' on-disk format, so that disks may freely be interchanged between UFS and sharefs, and file
systems may be created and maintained with the usual utilities (newfs, fsck,
etc).
