The combination of Aonix's Validator/Req, a leading specification-based, test- generation tool, and Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS), Quality Systems & Software's leading requirements-management tool, provides developers with the ability to generate test-case scenarios directly from requirements specifications, saving time, and ensuring overall quality.

Combined the tools enable a user to implement and maintain traceability of their software from requirements definition to the point of test-case generation. This integration provides users with the ability to actually generate test cases automatically from a visual model of their requirements specifications so that tests directly reflect the desired functionality of the software. Thus, Validator/Req will generate the right set of tests to assure that software operates as specified.

As requirements change, the tool combination may be used to automatically show which test cases are affected and consequently which test cases will need to be regenerated.
