A Report-Based Information Management (RBIM) solution that extends the reach of ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP R/3, PeopleSoft, Baan, as well as other enterprise business or custom-developed applications. A client/server-based solution, Vista Plus captures, stores, indexes and distributes mission-critical report data to a wide variety of authorized users via Windows 3.x/95/98/NT or Java clients. In addition, this release is the first to deliver support for Windows NT server as well as HP-UX, AIX and Solaris.

Through Quest Software's report warehousing strategy, Vista Plus automatically captures report information, regardless of application or source, into the Vista Plus report repository, supporting many input data streams such as PCL, PostScript and ASCII text. Vista Plus also optionally supports mainframe output such as EBCDIC, AFP, ASA Metacode and DJDE. Vista Plus users access the warehouse and view the reports it contains over any network including the Internet. The Vista Plus centralized repository and Windows or Java client provide end users with transparent "one-stop shopping" for valuable report information.
