Citrix Systems, Inc. announced the availability of two new UNIX clients based on its Independent Computing Architecture (ICA), the emerging industry standard for server-based computing. The new ICA Clients for LINUX and SCO UNIX extend Citrix's support for all major UNIX platforms, which also include Sun Solaris HP-UX, IBM AIX, Digital UNIX and SGI IRIX UNIX. Citrix's new ICA Clients for LINUX and SCO UNIX can be downloaded at no charge from the company's website, located at, for use with Citrix WinFrame and MetaFrame server software.

When used in conjunction with Citrix WinFrame or MetaFrame servers, Citrix ICA client software extends the reach of Windows-based applications to a broad range of client devices across heterogeneous computing environments, without application rewrites, special emulation software or dedicated hardware.
