Latest version of SilverStream's Enterprise Application Server, which combines the scalability, reliability, security and manageability needed to deploy enterprise Web applications, with a fully integrated high-productivity, development environment.

With this release, the SilverStream Enterprise Application Server adds:

• Enterprise features, including load balancing for scalability, fail-over and automatic restart for reliability and recoverability
• Session-level failover to insure that a Web application is always running and that any interruptions to an application are completely invisible to the end-user
• Broad data connectivity and interoperability with other applications and data sources in the enterprise, including information stored in SAP, Peoplesoft, CICS and Lotus Notes applications
• A visual, object-oriented, event driven, pure Java approach to generating HTML - an industry first
• Support for server-side business objects including CORBA and COM
• The underlying architecture for future support of Enterprise Java Beans (EJB)
