OmniVox for Unix, version 6.2, is an object-oriented computer telephony and call processing application development, runtime and management environment for a range of Unix operating systems (SCO OpenServer, UnixWare, Solaris and Digital).

New features include the next generation of the OmniView Service Creation tool, simplified private labeling for OEM requirements and enhanced fax features for manipulating faxes on- and off-line. This release gives developers added control and flexibility in the creation of high-density, scaleable IVR and Enhanced Services solutions.

OmniVox 6.2 introduces the next generation of OmniView, the object-oriented, drag-and-drop Service Creation tool (applications generator) integrated in OmniVox.

New features include the ability to work on multiple documents (applications) simultaneously, simplifying cross-application sharing; floating command palettes for better viewing of the entire application call flow; Snap-to Grid option for accurate alignment of icons; and Insert Text option for placing comments directly onto the call flow canvas. In addition, OmniView is now less CPU intensive, decreasing application development time.
