A standards-based, scalable, multi-platform system that makes it easy for enterprise Web managers to provide secure, privileged access to corporate databases and applications. Using digital certificates or, now, user IDs/passwords, GTE Enterprise Access facilitates secure single sign-on access to enterprise systems through identity-based and role-based access control.

The GTE Enterprise Access application uses information from digital certificates or user IDs/passwords to determine what each user is allowed to see and do on the corporate network. Access to back-end databases and applications is governed by corporate security policies and enforced on the enterprise Web server. Web-based single sign-on capabilities enable organizations to allow customers, employees, partners and others to access their information resources in a secure yet simple and flexible manner.
