A new family of Networked Acuity patient monitoring systems. The new systems operate as Vital Signs Servers, each capable of centrally monitoring a local group of patients as well as remotely monitoring patients resident on other Networked Acuity systems, regardless of geographic location inside or outside the hospital.

The Networked Acuity Vital Signs Server design leverages the power of distributive computing pioneered by Sun Microsystems, Inc. Protocol believes this innovative approach results in the most powerful and extendible enterprise-wide monitoring system available. The Networked Acuity systems are available in four configurations with the largest system capable of simultaneously monitoring the real-time vital signs of 60 patients per Vital Signs Server, including arrhythmia detection and ST segment analysis and up to 96 hours of full waveform disclosure for all monitored parameters.
