Leonardo
- synthesis solution
($14,990)
Company: Exemplar Logic

Platforms: Windows 95, Windows NT, Linux, Unix (Sun, HP)
Description:
Leonardo synthesis solution has been certified for the Xilinx XC4000EX
family, including support for its Select-RAM Memory feature. This
allows distribution of customized single or dual port RAM functions
(FIFOs, accumulators, LIFOs, etc.) into a single FPGA, eliminating
the on/off chip delays of external RAM. It infers RAM and counters
from behavioral descriptions instead of instantiating them. Designers
no longer have to directly instantiate RAMs as black boxes for
synthesis and separately provide behavior descriptions for simulation.
The same source can be used for both. This yields
technology-independent designs and faster run times, since less memory
is required.
