Description: This update locks-out the abuse of corporate firewalls and mail servers by unscrupulous Internet users who use firewalls and mail servers as relays for unsolicited e-mail and spamming in order to hide their identities from the recipients. This update can be obtained by contacting Milkyway's technical support department at (613) 596-2299. The update effectively prevents sites protected by SecurIT FIREWALLs from acting as mail relays. A mail relay is any system that will accept mail not directly addressed to it and forward it on to the final destination. The update allows administrators to specify a valid list of internal mail domains, such as "xyz.company.com". The firewall will then drop any incoming e-mail that is not addressed to specified domains; i.e.: in the above example, jsmithxyz.company.com would be allowed, but jdoeany.company.com would be dropped.
