Narodna Street

Narodna Street connets the square with the theatre and hotels and leads to the hill called Urpin. [Bank photo]

The most beautiful building is the corner house, No.10, built as a bank in the Neo-Renaissance style. A grafitto facade is completed by stone sculptures.
The luxurious building, of Narodny dom (National House) was built according to the design of Emil Bellus in 1924 - 1929. A hotel, restaurant, cafe, night club and theatre are all in one building. In the foyer of theatre we can see a memorial tablet commemorating the first meeting of the presidium of Matica slovenska.
