Horna Street

Horna Street is formed by memorable houses with features of the late Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and fin-de-siecle styles.

House No.21 entered history when in August, 1944 the so-called Independent Slovak Transmitter started broadcasting from this building.

In this street the painter Dominik Skutecky lived in house with a penthouse built according to his own design. The largest building is situated on the corner of Horna and Kukucinova streets. It is a fin-de-siecle "Porgespalota", from the begining of the 20th century.
